Check Egg Groups First
Egg groups matter more than element, appearance, or name. If the two spirits do not share an egg group, waiting longer will not fix the pair. Dual-group spirits can work if at least one group matches, but unknown or restricted spirits are usually not worth forcing.
Check Gender and Target Mother
Most breeding routes require one male and one female. Player guides commonly explain that the egg species follows the mother, so prepare the female version of your target first, then look for a compatible male father.
Place Nests Very Close
Many failed breeding attempts come from nest placement. Put the two nests directly next to each other with no decorations or gaps between them. If the countdown still does not appear, move the nests again and wait before checking the homestead status.
Do Not Mix Breeding and Hatching
Breeding is about producing an egg in the homestead. Hatching starts after you already have the egg. If no egg exists, troubleshoot parents and nests. If an egg exists but does not hatch, check hatch progress and movement distance.
